The funding will be used to continue running Deaf Lunch Clubs for older people over 50 who use British Sign Language (BSL) which also includes includes a Development Worker role to help with income generation. The beneficiaries of 50+ is an intergenerational group in itself made up of a variety of age groups each with their own shared history culture and interests. The funding will be used to provide safe environments for older Deaf people to build a network for themselves in each other improve the quality of their lives by promoting mental well- being encouraging active lifestyles assisting with AIG and improved community cohesion.
