Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • The charity has received backing from a grant maker
  • There has been strong growth in spending over the last 5 years
  • The Board appears to be dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • Over half the Board have joined recently
  • Returns have been filed late on 2 occasions over the last 5 years and the current period appears to have been extended

Financial issues to consider:

  • This charity has an endowment fund which generates much of its income. Its latest spending amounts to only -2950.5% of total funds
  • There was a deficit on unrestricted reserves of £83,888 at the last year end after deducting the value of own use assets
  • There has been a change of accounting period recently, so trends may be hard to determine
