SECOND CHANCE HEADWAY CENTRE

Provides a day rehabilitation centre and outreach service for adults with an acquired brain injury. We believe in the right of everyone to an acceptable quality of life, and disability should not be a barrier to obtaining the skills, knowledge and understanding required to achieve a better quality of life
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • The charity has received backing from several prominent grant makers recently
  • Spending has increased over the last 3 years relative to the previous period
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of gender

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • The Board composition appears to be rather static and has little diversity in terms of age

Financial issues to consider:

  • The latest accounts were qualified
  • On several occasions in recent years income has been less than spending
  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
