THE HEXTOL FOUNDATION

The Hextol Foundation aims to improve the lives of people with disabilities and who may have other disadvantages by creating opportunities to work, by providing education and training and by developing other forms of support as are needed. The Foundation achieves this by setting up businesses that provide safe and supported work and work-based training.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers including the Government and a Community Foundation
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of gender and dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • The Board has little diversity in terms of age

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • On several occasions in recent years income has been less than spending
Established: 17 years
