The funding will enable the organisation to meet the increased demand on their services for Young People volunteers and vulnerable disengaged community members at The Green Patch (TGP) a large community garden based in Kettering North Northamptonshire. Established on a 2.5 acres site the Green Patch is a community hub in Kettering (one of the four larger towns in Northamptonshire) featuring a community garden with four large polytunnels beehives a health and wellbeing garden grass paddock free play areas a wildlife orchard and wildlife ponds. There are ducks chickens rabbits and a community cat. The Green Patch’s staff provide community services including: • A diverse range of after school clubs for children with all abilities offering families the short breaks service where needed. • Regular and supported adult volunteer days.• Alternative education for children and young people with barriers to achieving in mainstream education.• Weekly Outdoor Youth Clubs.• Community events and workshops to promote wellbeing. • A seasonal ‘Veg Box’ scheme providing the local community with fresh produce at an affordable cost encouraging healthy eating and positive well-being. • An ecologically rich environmental place for the local community to interact with and learn about the environment. • Support to many other local community and environmental groups.They have a focus on youth work supporting children and young people often those who struggle in mainstream education. The group also open their doors (gates) to the wider community offering volunteering opportunities in the gardens kitchen donation shed etc. supporting mental health reducing social isolation and improving well-being. ProposalCome Together @ Green Patch will involve the following:• Recruit and employ two new posts; a Volunteer Co-ordinator and a Youth Engagement Officer to develop and deliver the different strands of support offered whilst working tog
