This group provide a range of services in the Thirsk area (merged with The Clock in Feb 2020). Funding will be used to support clients to adjust back into society once lockdown is relaxed/ends. Until that time funding will be used to support clients remotely via phone calls and collecting/delivering goods. The group also wish to use some of the funding to pay the volunteer co-ordinator who is needed to train and co-ordinate new volunteers.

This funding is for a project aimed at supporting older and potentially vulnerable people to live independently, in their own homes. Identifying barriers to progression - By participating in the bespoke package of support and community projects we expect that each beneficiary will achieve a number of outcomes. The coaching sessions will encourage each participant to identify the barriers in their lives. The participants will develop the skills to recognise the way that the issues make them behave and strategies to reduce the negative behaviours such as how to recognise symptoms of stress and how to reduce it. Reducing concerns over futures - As participants progress through the coaching, their concerns over their future will reduce as they have developed the skills to deal with problems before they get out of hand. Staff will help the participant understand symptoms of stress and develop strategies to reduce it Increase resilience - The reflective aspect of coaching will facilitate the participants to increase their resilience as they will reflect on the success they have had in addressing the barriers in their lives and discuss what they have learnt from it. Working within a team - In preparation for the community projects, beneficiaries will participate in a session which prepares them for working better with others and explores areas such as how to communicate with others, the different types of criticism and how to deal with them Increase confidence - The community projects will enable the participants to increase their confidence. By working together as part of a team, significant achievements will be made that could not be made by one person. Successes will be identified and celebrated. Improvement of skills - Staff leading the community projects will facilitate the development of new skills and improvement of existing ones. Participants will have the opportunity to complete training with a Nationally recognised qualification such as food hygiene, health and safety and business start-up.

Funding to coach and mentor 25 young women, this will involve 1:1 sessions and personal development plans to ensure they can reach their full potential.
