Objectives

THE TRUSTEES SHALL HOLD THE TRUST FUND AND ITS INCOME UPON TRUST TO APPLY THEM FOR THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS WITHIN ENGLAND FOR SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE FOLLOWING:(1) THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION, SPORT AND OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND SO THAT THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THOSE FOR WHOM THE FACILITIES ARE PROVIDED MAY BE IMPROVED;(2) THE EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE AND THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR THE RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE TO ASSIST THEM TO GROW TO FULL MATURITY AS INDIVIDUALS AND AS MEMBERS OF SOCIETY AND SO THAT THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE MAY BE IMPROVED; AND(3) THE PROMOTION OF RACIAL HARMONY AND GOOD CITIZENSHIP.
