The funding will be used to recruit volunteers to identify and support unpaid carers and run weekly local community groups targeting hard to reach carers at risk of becoming lonely and isolated. The community groups will use venues such as Churches Community Centres Village Halls and Libraries which can be accessed free of charge so there will be no venue costs. The project aims to give carers the opportunity to come together connect and create social support networks share knowledge take a respite break and receive appropriate support dependent upon their individual Carer needs improving their mental health and wellbeing.
