HULL YFC

We have worked in one of Hull's most deprived communities since 1994. We provide long-term support to children and families helping them overcome problems linked to living in poverty. Our committed staff live in the community enabling us to fully understand its needs and form trusting relationships. This simple approach means we are invited to support those that most professionals fail to engage.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • The charity has received modest backing from several prominent grant makers recently
  • Spending has increased over the last 3 years relative to the previous period
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of gender

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • Although this charity works with volunteers it does not have a Volunteer Management policy
  • This charity does not have a Conflict of Interests policy
  • The Board composition appears to be rather static

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • Income has been volatile and on several occasions in recent years less than spending
Established: 29 years
