The changes ....more Birmingham DRC's Positive Pathways project engages with adults with disabilities on a pathway towards recovery using a person-centred approach through education, volunteering, employment. The changes achieved include providing access to meaningful, relevant and high quality further education and training, support to achieve vocational qualifications, access to work experience and employment support to assist individuals to find and keep a job. Ultimately, the aim is to see all beneficiaries in suitable education, training or employment. The project has 3 elements of support: 1) Opportunities for Life ?a 2 day a week, 6 week course 2) Opportunities Hub ?a weekly drop-in at DRC's fully accessible Information, Health and Wellbeing Centre 3) Mentoring, information, advice and guidance.

Project will be aimed at isolated and or lonely or at risk such as those who have been recently bereaved, diagnosed with a long term condition or disability. Through strong partnership working, community investment and ongoing support, the project is sustainable beyond the life of the funding.
