The funding will continue the provision of specialist therapy support to victims of rape and sexual abuse (including online abuse) in Kent. Specialist therapy support works on a 12 session basis over 12 weeks and is designed to alleviate the trauma victims have experienced and to help break the cycle of abuse and help reduce the feelings of suicide and self-harm amongst survivors. The therapy enables the suffering and distress experienced by childhood sexual abuse to be alleviated whilst enhancing their abilities to relate to others and re-establish themselves back into their community.
