    Objectives

    4 The Church's purposes are: 4.1 the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the Basis of Faith primarily but not exclusively within Eyemouth, Berwickshire, and the surrounding neighbourhood. and 4.2 such other charitable purposes as shall, in the opinion of the charity trustees, put into practice the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the Basis of Faith, including but not limited to the prevention and relief of poverty, the advancement of citizenship or community development, and the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. provided that the advancement of such purposes must be undertaken in a manner that is consistent with the Doctrinal Distinctives as may be adopted and amended by the SCIO from time to time. 4.3 nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the Church for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the 2005 Act.
