    The objects of the Association are the advancement of education of students at the University of the Highlands and Islands and its academic partners for the public benefit by: 4.1 working to enhance the teaching and learning experience of students at the University of the Highlands and Islands and its academic partners by organising, supporting and promoting the role of students, and working in partnership with the relevant institutions and its staff. 4.2 promoting the interests and welfare of students during their course of study and representing, supporting and advising students. 4.3 being the recognised representative channel between students and the University of the Highlands and Islands and its academic partners and any other external bodies. and 4.4 providing social, cultural, sporting and recreational activities, and forums for discussions and debate for the personal development of its students. 4.5 being the recognised representative body that represents students to the University of the Highlands and Islands as the regional strategic body for further education in the Highlands and Islands.
