Objectives

I . To advance citizenship and the contribution of the Algerian community in Scotland through promoting social inclusion, active citizenship and harmony in a multicultural Scotland: through assisting in removing barriers (e.g. language, discrimination and exclusion) of the Algerian community and through empowering an active role locally promoting and supporting equality at all levels building direct links between local disadvantaged communities and policy makers addressing areas of support in relation to Health, Housing, Education and overall welfare of these communities. 2. To promote racial harmony through community work and community empowerment, and to advance social justice in Scotland through awareness raising programmes and community development practices. 3. To help relief poverty through empowering members of the Algerian community (youth, woman, students, etc) in their engagement through community initiatives empowering a voice for these groups and assisting in helping them to develop relevant skills in this respect.
