Objectives

The company’s objects are: To support women in need by reason of having been abused (mentally, physically, sexually, psychologically or financially) in the home or by a person with whom the woman is or has been in a relationship and to support children and young people who have been affected by domestic abuse, by offering support, information and help to women, children and young people. To promote equality for, and the participation of women, children and young people in society to enable then to determine their own futures and make their voices heard. To advance education by : a) Providing opportunities to meet the developmental and emotional needs of children and young people with experiences of domestic abuse, and women using the services provided b) By informing and raising awareness in the community and its representatives, including the media, the police, the judicial system, the social services and other authorities with respect to the abuse of women and its prevention and their obligations in acting to ensure its prevention (taking account of the fact that abuse (mental, physical, sexual and financial) is a result of the position of women in society) c) By encouraging research into the causes, prevention and relief of abuse and the effects thereof on women, children and young people: and d) By encouraging any training that furthers the objects.
