    Objectives

    The objects of the Trust are to promote in all time coming the following purposes within the district of Argyll and Bute (hereinafter called 'the locality') in so far as such purposes fall within the objects of the Trust as set out below (1) To enable and encourage within the locality young people to work together to provide charitable help for others of all ages in the community. (2) To assist with the locality specific projects of a useful and charitable nature. Subject as hereinafter appearing the objects of The Argyll and Bute Trust are: (a) the advancement of education. (b) the relief of persons individually or generally in conditions of need, hardship or distress. (c) the assistance of children, young people and the elderly and the advancement of their physical, mental and spiritual welfare (in each case by exclusively charitable means). (d) the provision (for the benefit of the public or of a sufficient section of the public and in the interests of social welfare) of facilities for recreation or other leisure-time occupation (or assisting to provide such facilities). (e) the advancement of other exclusively charitable purposes for the benefit of the community. and (f) any such other exclusively charitable objects as may from time to time be thought fit. 2. Provided that where assistance is given to the benefit of young or active people, whether groups or individual, they shall be encouraged to render in return some specific service to the community.
