The project would also offer Introduction to Coaching Basketball Awards. The project aims to help those living in deprived areas, to increase their physical activity levels and improve mental health. There will be 2 coaches, equipment to ensure each young person has a basketball to use, coach qualifications, venue hire and promotion. The children and young people who complete the Introduction to Coaching course will be given opportunities to volunteer in other basketball sessions.
