Objectives

THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO ENABLE ITS MEMBERS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SPORT OF CORNISH PILOT GIG ROWING. THIS INCLUDES YEAR-ROUND TRAINING FOR MEMBERS; INCLUDING CIRCUIT TRAINING, INDOOR ROWING, SOCIAL ROWING AND CREW RACING. THROUGHOUT SPRING AND SUMMER MONTHS, THE CLUB IS ACTIVE AROUND HAYLE HARBOUR IN PREPARING ITS SQUADS FOR EACH SEASON OF WEEKLY REGATTAS, HELD THROUGHOUT CORNWALL AND DEVON.NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORIZE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
