DYSLEXIA CORNWALL 

We provide support and services for dyslexic children & adults of all ages, their parents/families, educators, employers & the wider community. We can be contacted via our Helpline & Website. We also support a Dyslexia Friendly Schools Quality Mark. Our focus is raising awareness of Dyslexia & our vision is a dyslexia friendly society that enables dyslexic people to reach their full potential.

THE CHARITY’S OBJECTS ARE THE RELIEF OF THE NEEDS OF CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND ADULTS WITH DYSLEXIA LIVING IN CORNWALL AND THE ISLES OF SCILLY. IN FURTHERANCE OF THIS OBJECT BUT NOT OTHERWISE THE CHARITY SHALL HAVE THE FOLLOWING POWERS:(1) TO PROVIDE ADVICE ON EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING FOR DYSLEXICS AND PROVIDE INFORMATION, ADVICE AND TRAINING FOR THOSE WORKING WITH THIS GROUP.(2) TO PROMOTE AND PUBLICISE THE STRENGTHS OF DYSLEXICS AND TO PROVIDE OR GIVE ADVICE ON PROGRAMMES OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING WHICH UNLOCK THEIR POTENTIAL.(3) TO SHARE AND DISSEMINATE GOOD PRACTICE IN EDUCATION, TRAINING AND THE EMPLOYMENT DRAWN FROM WORKING WITH DYSLEXICS.(4) TO BUILD UPON PARTNERSHIP AND COLLABORATION WITH OTHER ORGANISATIONS PROVIDING SERVICES FOR DYSLEXICS.(5) TO PROVIDE INFORMATION AND ADVICE FOR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS OF DYSLEXICS.(6) TO PROVIDE SUCH OTHER OPPORTUNITIES AND SERVICES FOR DYSLEXICS AND THOSE SUPPORTING OR DEVELOPING THESE OPPORTUNITIES AS WILL FURTHER THE CHARITY’S OBJECTS.
