Funding towards running costs for Horatio's Garden, South West and specifically for the Head Gardener's salary. The garden supports the mental health, wellbeing and rehabilitation of patients with spinal injuries, their families and the centre's staff. The garden is used daily by patients to get away from the hospital setting, enjoy fresh air and benefit from being in nature, whilst the garden room provides an indoor environment, perfect for spending time with family or socialising with other patients. We run activities for patients, family and friends which offer distraction from hospital life whilst improving patients' mood and wellbeing. Our gardens are beautiful and safe environments where patients can send time coming to terms with their injuries and learn to adapt to their changed circumstances. They are centres of excellence which significantly improve patient wellbeing and contribute to their rehabilitation. Each garden is an extension of the medical environment, therefore must be designed with a high-end specification to meet all the medical requirements of a hospital build project as well as ensuring that the garden is fully accessible, safe and functional all year round for spinal injury patients who have a large range of requirements and challenges. The Head Gardener is instrumental in the running of the garden.

Horatio's Garden in the Vale of Glamorgan will provide a new specially designed garden for patients with spinal injuries in South and Mid Wales. As part of the new spinal injuries department located at Llandough Hospital the garden will provide a therapeutic environment to support rehabilitation. A Head Gardener and Garden Therapist aided by a team of local volunteers will maintain the garden and provide a programme of events including art sessions book club music patient and family lunches. £60000 over one year will fund the building and refurbishment of the garden. Bydd Gardd Horatio ym Mro Morgannwg yn darparu gardd newydd sydd wedi'i chynllunio'n arbennig ar gyfer cleifion ag anafiadau i'r asgwrn cefn yn Ne a Chanolbarth Cymru. Fel rhan o'r adran newydd i anafiadau i'r asgwrn cefn yn Ysbyty Llandochau bydd yr ardd yn darparu amgylchedd therapiwtig i gefnogi adsefydlu. Bydd Prif Arddwr a Therapydd Garddio gyda chymorth tîm o wirfoddolwyr lleol yn cynnal yr ardd ac yn darparu rhaglen o ddigwyddiadau gan gynnwys sesiynau celf clwb llyfrau cerddoriaeth cinio cleifion a theulu. Bydd £60000 dros flwyddyn yn ariannu'r gwaith o adeiladu ac adnewyddu'r ardd.
