The main priority for Countryside Stewardship is to protect and enhance the natural environment, in particular: increased biodiversity; improved habitat and expanded woodland areas; improved water quality; improved air quality. Other outcomes supported are: protection against flooding and coastal erosion; maintaining the historic environment; improved landscape character; climate change adaptation and mitigation. Countryside Stewardship supports Defras 25 Year Environment Plan for our country to be the healthiest, most beautiful place in the world to live, work and bring up a family. It also supports Defras Strategic Objective of a cleaner, healthier environment, benefitting people and the economy. Countryside Stewardship gives incentives for land managers to look after the environment and is made up of the following elements: Higher Tier agreements for land that requires more complex management tailored to the individual site and now includes woodland maintenance; Mid Tier agreements that provide a range of options and capital items that together help to deliver a broad range of environmental benefits; four Wildlife Offers that provide a simpler set of options to help improve the wildlife on farms; Capital Grants that provide grants for boundaries, trees and orchards, water quality and air quality; Woodland Management Plan grant to help create a UK Forestry Standard (UKFS) compliant 10-year woodland management plan; Woodland Tree Health grant to help restore and improve tree health; Facilitation Fund which supports individuals who bring together groups of farmers, foresters and land managers to improve the environmental outcomes in their area; Protection and Infrastructure grant which provides grants for woodland infrastructure.

Helping Hand digital tool is a progressive web application (both as website & app) that will support children & young people who have experienced domestic abuse with managing their trauma & mental health. The tool is designed with & for these children so that it is tailored to their needs. We would use the grant to build a working prototype & pilot it. Our digital tool will provide children with trauma informed interactive support designed to support them in the long term around their mental health & wellbeing. This part of the project aims to convert our existing wireframe prototype into a working product that can be piloted in real life settings & prepare the tool for national roll out. The main output of this project is the development of the Beta version of the tool from the wireframe prototype. We identified 3 key elements of digital infrastructure that need to be built: >Frontend of the tool for Children (already designed through wireframes) >?Trust adult? portal & organisational portal to administer the use of the tool safely to children >Easy to use developer backend for AVA to manage the tool Activities to be carried out: >Develop the first iteration from the co-produced wireframe prototype >Undertake 2-3 development sprints to build digital infrastructure for the tool >Conduct co-production workshops to develop & design content of the tool (inc videos, scripts, graphics) >Create all the content >Conduct user testing with both children & professionals We want to test this working tool in real-life settings via a beta trial with 5-10 organisations supporting children. This will enable us to collect data on how the tool is used in real life settings & adjust the tool accordingly to the needs of both children & professionals. This approach will also help get buy-in from the wider sector. We will conduct the following: Recruit & brief 5-10 beta sites Develop training & resources for professionals on how to use the tool & ensure safeguarding Collect & analyse sites feedback & analytics data to inform final stage of tool development.

Research has highlighted concerns over the emotional wellbeing of children who have experienced abuse with many young people believing the abuse was their fault. There is limited support for young people and particularly a lack of age appropriate and trauma-informed support.AVA will co-produce a digital product with young people who have experienced abuse. The product will be available to young people throughout the country to support them to recover from their experiences, help them rebuild their lives and address mental health issues. The grant will pay for staff to work with the young people on co-production and technical support to develop the product.

Survivors of domestic and sexual abuse can struggle to meet their mental health support needs when faced with services that are not trauma-informed; many services have long waiting lists and cannot provide support 24/7. AVA and its digital tech partner Infact will design and build an app to meet these womens' needs; the digital product will give users immediate relief through functions that could include trauma-informed-meditation, and tips around coping strategies. The project will test assumptions about what survivors want/ need through the use of a Steering Group of 'experts by experience'. This user-group will be involved for the duration of the project from scoping through to launch.

Our project would aim to create a virtual and physical hub for a community of interest looking specifically to develop and deliver support programmes for women experiencing poor mental health and with experience of gender based violence .It would encourage and support this activity in both the Mental Health and Violence against women and girls (VAWG) spheres , and promote multi agency initiatives.The hubs activities would encompassMulti agency training across the UK, co facilitated with experts by experience , who we would train up . Almost 400 young people across England will benefit from this project, aiming to improve understanding of domestic and sexual violence and empower them to advocate for their needs within social care and education services. The project will pilot therapeutic group work with young women who have experienced or are at risk of violence and abuse, and it will focus on youth leadership development. Participants will also form youth panels to educate peers and influence government initiatives.
