Birkenshaw) and its environs to provide, or assist in the provision of, facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupation generally. but specifically to provide or assist in the provision of allotments with the objects of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants generally. 4.2 To advance environmental protection and improvement, and to promote citizenship and community development by providing the local community access to allotments so that they have the opportunity to be involved in a totally inclusive and accessible activity that will have positive outcomes for the individual and the community
