It will do this by providing a range of support including one to one and group befriending, telephone support, events, and outings for 100 people and 45 volunteers. This is a continuation of their existing project and will help them to better cope with demand for their services and to develop more services to support older men in the area.

There ....more This group will use the grant to continuing running their befriending service for older people in the Motherwell and Wishaw area. 150 people will take part in the activity with 85 volunteers. There are both group and one to one befriending sessions. Group sessions have been organised for those who have moved into sheltered housing complexes and are new to the community. Respite is also offered to carers through befriending and group activities.
