    The organisation's purposes are: The preservation, conservation and promotion of the early medieval sculpture (The Govan Stones) and the retention and development of Govan Old Church and its churchyard as a place of historical and cultural significance and as a place of worship. The provision of educational and recreational facilities through the creation and operation of a visitor centre exhibiting the sculpture and artefacts held in Govan Old Church. The preservation of buildings or objects of historical, archaeological, architectural or constructional interest.
