    The objects of the project are to promote the benefit of young people in the Dumfries area by associating with the local and statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide or promote the provision of facilities, in the interests of social welfare, for recreation and other leisure time occupation thereby improving the conditions of life of the aforementioned young people and developing their physical, mental and spiritual capacities so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and in furtherance thereof.
