Lyra work with children experiencing poverty ....more Based in the East Edinburgh suburbs of Craigmillar and Niddrie, Lyra makes artworks and creative projects for, by and with, children and young people. Lyra work with children experiencing poverty and multiple disadvantage, across music, theatre and dance. Their collaborative approach raises self-esteem and sparks creativity. Children learn lifelong skills and gain an insight into otherwise insular creative industries. Responding to local demand, Lyra are using The Fore’s grant to design programmes for young people aged 13 and above. This will enable them to plug a significant gap in provision.
