    The object of First Base is to provide help, support and Education for individuals and groups in Dumfries and Galloway. To alleviate the suffering and distress of those who have had/ or have a life controlling problem ( i.e. alcohol, drug or gambling addictions ) To advance the education of the general public and in particular school children about alcohol, drug and gambling addictions. To relieve the poverty of those who are homeless or necessitous circumstances and in furtherance thereof - To provide information ( Written, audio or visual) on a range of subjects To open drop in centres to provide help and facilities for individuals and groups C. - To do all other things conducive to the attainment of the above objects
