Objectives

The objects of Getting Better Together Ltd shall be to advance the education and promote health of the local community through new service provision, the increased co-ordination and integration of services and the creation of more accessible two way information flows between service providers and service users. In fbrtherance thereof, but not otherwise, Getting Better Together Ltd will seek to: Encourage the full and inclusive involvement of local people through the development of a community led management structure. Develop new services and activities to meet the specific needs and fill gaps in the existing service provision. Identify and promote opportunities to fbrther co-ordinate and integrate existing services line with local needs. Develop improved community information on health related services and Improve links to other services/issues that impact on health including, but not limited to, leisure, housing, employment and environment. To preserve and protect the physical and mental health of the people of Greater Shotts and North Lanarkshire to assist in the relief of ill health and the provision of health education for such residents. To promote training in skills of all kinds, particularly such skills as will assist residents of the Greater Shotts and North Lanarkshire in obtaining paid employment or will promote personal development To promote, establish, operate andlor support other similar schemes and initiatives of a charitable nature for the benefit of the community within the Greater Shotts and North Lanarkshire.
