The worker will develop and deliver Digital Job Clubs (2 hours weekly), older persons drop-ins (Calton, Bridgeton and Blackhill) and an intergenerational initiative which will support older people affected by loneliness and isolation by matching the digital skills of young people and desire of older people to learn and access digital technologies. All activity will be in areas of high deprivation in Glasgow. This project will embed digital skills within groups that already have deep community roots; by building their capacity and giving them access to IT hardware the project will embed the use of digital skills and technology into their existing activities. The project will also aim to attract other people with an interest in learning digital skills to the groups thus supporting their long-term sustainability.
