Objectives

The company's objects are to advance the health and education of carers in the County of Angus by providing support, recreational facilities and activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for carers by: provid ing information and support to those resident in the County of Angus, irrespective of age, who currently care (or have, in the recent past, cared) for family members, other relatives, partner, friends and neighbours of any age affected by physical or mental illness, disability, frailty or substance misuse. The person does not need to be living with the cared-for person to be a carer ensuring that the role of carers is recognised, and working in partnership with carers to empower them to manage their caring responsibilities contributing to planning processes, both for the cared-for and at a local and national level. promoting physical and mental well-being and allev iating mental and physical ill-health attributable to caring roles. advancing education, training, volunteering, employment and a wide range of support to enable carers to have a life outside of caring ensuring that young carers are protected from harmful caring roles and thriving
