    Objectives

    The Association will promote the Duke of Edinburgh's Award for the benefit of young people in the area without distinction of political, religious or other opinions. The aims of the organisation are: (a) to promote the Award in the area. (b) to provide support for all local groups. (c) to establish close working relationships with all users, leaders and supporters of the Award. Tayside Region Community Education Service. Other youth organisations. Service and skill providers. and those involved in the Award elsewhere. (d) to identify, train and support voluntary leaders. (e) to secure resources to further the work of the Award. (f) to provide expedition training and equipment for participants and their leaders in the area. (g) to provide technical help for leaders and participants. (h) to ensure the Award is available to all young people. (i) to encourage the formation of local support groups.
