    4 The organisation’s purposes are: 4.1 the relief of those in need, by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, in particular, adults at risk, the physically disabled, persons who are sensory impaired, those with learning difficulties and additional communication and support needs, those with mental health concerns, individuals with problematic substance use and older adults (the “Community”). 4.2 the advancement of education, in particular in respect of individuals within the Community. 4.3 the advancement of human rights, in particular in respect of individuals within the Community. and 4.4 the promotion of equality and diversity, in particular in respect of individuals within the Community, all with a view to relieving the suffering and distress of individuals, in particular, those within the Community, promoting their welfare and improving their quality of life by encouraging individuals within the Community to involve themselves in all aspects of society and, in particular, in those decisions affecting themselves, their families and their carers, through cooperation with the statutory authorities and other agencies.
