The objects for which the Company is established are to promote, provide,support and assist in the care and welfare of older persons and carers in the City of Edinburgh, its Environs and throughout Scotland (by maintaining, developing and providing care, support and community services and facilities which meet the evolving needs of older persons and their carers, including inter-generational work) and to fulfil the following charitable purposes: (a) the relief and support of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage (including by the provision of accommodation or care). (b) the provision of recreational facilities, and/or the organisation of recreational activities, which are primarily intended for persons who have need of them by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, but which are available to members of the public at large.
