Objectives

The company’s objects are to benefit the inhabitants of the West of Scotland through: - Promoting citizenship and community development by: (a) Establishing and providing the means by which individuals interested in volunteering may receive information, training, assistance or support that shall enable them to play an active role in volunteering. (b) Assisting other voluntary and statutory bodies to extend the range of volunteering opportunities. (d) Providing and assisting in the provision of training and learning opportunities with a view to developing skills which will assist people to find work. (e) Disseminating information in order to promote good policy and practice in volunteering. And the relief of need by: (f) Developing facilities and opportunities of benefit to unemployed people and other disadvantaged groups, including temporary employment and training projects and related initiatives. (g) Developing and sustaining a range of community-based care and support services for disadvantaged families and individuals.
