Objectives

4 (a)The objects for which the Company is registered are to promote and advance for the public benefit the arts, culture and education, in particular (but without limitation) through: (i) the promotion and encouragement of the arts of drama, dance, music, singing, literature, poetry, sculpture and painting - locally, nationally and internationally - with special (but not exclusive) reference to the Arts of and in Scotland, by providing the infrastructure, professional support and expertise to ensure the development of a dynamic theatre culture, and (ii) the coaching and development of writers, the advancement of literary skills, the encouragement of interaction between writers and audiences, and the provision of education on the process behind writing, all with a view to encouraging and nurturing new talent and increasing the production and promulgation of new works of literature and poetry for the public benefit.
