    Objectives

    4.1 To promote the wellbeing and benefit of the residents and inhabitants of the Merkinch area of Inverness and its environs by associating with local authorities, local clubs and voluntary organisations, members, residents and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions and quality of lives for said residents and inhabitants. 4.2 Without prejudice to the foregoing to operate and manage the building known as Merkinch Community Centre and co-operate with any local authority in the maintenance and management of the Centre in furtherance of the purposes mentioned at 4.1 above.
