Objectives

Subject to the said over-riding qualifications the objects for which the School is established are:- (1) To provide a centre where young people can receive tuition not otherwise available to them, in each of the musical disciplines. (2) To provide and maintain in such place or places as the Council of Management may consider proper, all facilities appropriate to the purposes of the School. (3) To receive as pupils such persons as the Council of Management may consider proper, and that on such conditions, including payment of fees for or towards their maintenance, education and treatment and for such periods, all as the Council of Management may fix. and to remove any such persons at the discretion of the Council of Management without cause assigned. (4) To establish, subsidise, promote, support and amalgamate with Companies, Institutions, Societies or Schools that are charities in the legal technical sense having objects altogether or in part similar to those of the School, provided that by their constitution they prohibit the distribution of any profits or assets among their Members. (5) To purchase, take on lease or in exchange, hire or otherwise acquire, any property, heritable or moveable, real or personal, which may be deemed necessary or convenient for any of the purposes of the School. (6) To draw, make, accept or endorse promissory notes, bills of exchange and other negotiable instruments.
