    DUNMURRY COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION 

    3.1 The Association is established to promote the benefit of the general public, to relieve poverty, youth and the aged and promote the protection and preservation of the natural environment in Dunmurry and its environs of Co. Antrim (hereinafter called the "area of benefit") by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants and in particular: 3.1.1 To conserve and protect the natural and built environmental and architectural heritage of Dunmurry and the River Lagan, its banks, and flora and fauna for the benefit of the public.
