    The Company�s objects are the promotion of equality, diversity and human rights, the advancement of education, the promotion, protection and preservation of physical and mental health and wellbeing and for the benefit of women who are or who may be lesbian, bisexual or who are in doubt about their sexual identity (hereinafter called the �beneficiaries�) in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland (�hereinafter called the �area of benefit�) by associating the statutory and local authorities, voluntary organisations and the beneficaries in a common effort to advance education and promote diversity with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said beneficaries and in particular: (a) to promote the preservation and protection of emotional and mental health and relieve the mental and emotional distress of women who are lesbian, bisexual or who are in doubt about their sexual identity or those who may be affected by, or involved with, such women by the provision of information, support, help and advice; (b) to advance public awareness and the education of the general public in relation to lesbian and bisexual issues history and culture; (c) to advance education among funders, researchers, voluntary and community organisations and local and statutory agencies who work with, or provide services to lesbian and bisexual women in the area of benefit by providing research and information in order to assist in the promulgation of effective policies, initiatives and good practice affecting the beneficiaries and to disseminate the useful results of such research for the public benefit; (d) to promote human rights, equality and diversity in pursuit of the elimination of discrimination in relation to lesbian and bisexual women; (f) to promote or assist in the promotion, facilitation and organisation of community capacity building programmes and projects for the benefit of the beneficiaries who have need of such assistance as a result of their youth, age, disability or infirmity, or social and economic circumstances in an effort to increase their abilities, skills, self-confidence and participation in social, cultural, political and economic life; (g) To promote the arts and encourage the beneficiaries to participate actively in community-based arts and cultural activities.
