    The Company's objects are specifically restricted to the alleviation of distress caused by relational break-up and family relationships: the preservation and protection of health and the promotion of the benefit and well-being of the inhabitants ( hereinafter called the beneficiaries) resident in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland (hereinafter called the �area of benefit�) without distinction of age, gender, sexual orientation, disability/ability, race, ethnic origin, political or religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory and local authorities, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to alleviate distress in the interests of social welfare with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants and in particular: (a) alleviate the distress caused by the relational break-up of parents or families in dispute or difficulty through the provision of a family mediation service during and following relational breakup and to facilitate or assist in the facilitation of a safe place for negotiation, generating options, developing a parenting plan, enhancing communication, building resilience and negotiation skills, agreeing access for children, residency, maintenance/finance and other issues pertinent to the family that supports individuals to negotiate an agreed way forward that is particular to their families future needs (b) preserve and protect the mental and physical health and well-being of adults and children involved in the break up of a couple and family, or family disputes or difficulties,by providing services directed towards mediation for people involved in dispute, relational break-up and/or interpersonal conflict; (c) to advance education among public bodies, statutory agencies, practitioners and voluntary and community organisations who work with those former partners and families whose relationship has broken down or who are otherwise in dispute or difficulty by providing support, information, lobbying, research and training to assist in building and maintaining professional family mediator capacity, good practice & standards. (d) To relieve the needs and seek to achieve the best outcomes for children and families following relational break-up through the provision of advocacy, signposting and support. (e) to carry out, promote,sponsor and support by means of financial assistance, research and study into issues affecting children & families and the benefits of the use of mediation following relational break-up and the dissemination of the useful results of such research for the public benefit and in particular to persons or organisations engaged in working with separated families; (f) to advance any other exclusively charitable purpose as the Directors, may from time to time, decide in accordance with the law of charity.
