    The Objects of the Charity are: To advance citizenship or community development for the public benefit by promoting and supporting volunteering and in furtherance of that Object: To promote, inform and raise awareness of volunteering; To support and enable people through active citizenship, to contribute to issues which affect their lives and the communities in which they live; To facilitate and improve the participation by groups and individuals who tend to be under represented through the encouragement of voluntary activity; To develop innovative models and projects that enable individuals to become involved in the community at local, regional and international level; To promote volunteer opportunities and link individuals who want to volunteer with these opportunities; To provide guidance, information training and support to organisations to develop capacity, skills and good practice in relation to the involvement and management of volunteers; To provide evidence by conducting research to, sustain and develop volunteer involvement and active citizenship, build capacity and improve effectiveness and efficiency of voluntary organisations, identify emerging needs in relation to volunteers and volunteering; inform the development of volunteering locally, nationally and internationally; To raise, receive and manage funds to provide grants to support and develop volunteer involvement and active citizenship; To collaborate with others to promote, enhance and increase volunteering; To work with organisations across the UK, Ireland and internationally to source information, develop practice and knowledge to enhance volunteering and civic participation. Such other exclusively charitable purposes according to the law of Northern Ireland for the benefit of the public as the Trustees may from time to time decide.
