They will have the confidence, attitude, ....more This project will empower women and girls to to take control of their lives, learn to value themselves and know they are worthy and strong individuals. They will have the confidence, attitude, knowledge and skills to foster change in their own lives and the lives of their family and friends. They will be an inspiration to other women and girls and an educator to children because of improved confidence, positive attitude and ability to see potential. They will have the skills to monitor their mental health and well-being and have a stronger voice within their home, workplace or community they live. It is envisaged that a group of 20 women will have the confidence, fundraising skills, promotion skills and social skills to keep a women's craft programme, tea and talk programme and women's community needs events going for many years themselves. This will provide over 1000 places per year for the same and new women and girls to participate in Mental Health & Wellbeing Programmes forging lasting friendships and providing social interaction for many. The women and young girls will be more confident, have increased self-esteem, will be more open about talking about mental health and know what to do and where to go when feeling down, sad or in despair. Ultimately this project will change lives and save lives. Mental health and well being will not be a taboo topic and all participants, their family and friends will be more knowledgeable about coping strategies, self help strategies and support services available.
