Objectives

2.1 The Objects of the Charity are the relief of the needs of those who are suffering from a chronic or terminal illness, disability or disease and in particular, but not so as to limit the generality of the foregoing, by:2.1.1 the provision of an in-patient unit, outpatient centre, community service and bereavement service in the Kent and Medway area for such patients, relatives and carers; 2.1.2 to conduct, promote or encourage research into the care and treatment of patients with progressive life-threatening diseases and to publish the beneficial results of any research undertaken by the Charity;2.1.3 to promote the principles and practices of palliative care throughout the wider community by assisting in multi-professional training and education;2.1.4 to provide and facilitate the provision of physical, social and psychological care and spiritual help for patients, relatives or carers under the care of the Charity and for the colleagues and volunteers working with them.
