Eve provides support for women and children survivors of domestic abuse in our purpose built refuge. The local authority does not fund any provision in the refuge and we are reliant on donations and grant making organisations to fund the services we provide. Support from specialist support workers who have received training in domestic abuse and have experience of working with local partners and other organisations to provide for the needs of survivors and their families is vital. We have systems in place to enable the support workers to work with service users to assess their needs and empower them to develop the confidence, self-esteem and resilience to be able to live the lives they choose for themselves.
