The funding will be used to complete a new community-led film about the history of the Brick Lane Bangladeshi community in the 1970s. It will look at the largely Bengali population and tackle issues of racism and physical attacks in and a murder in 1978 that became a turning point for the area. The film will form part of a mobile exhibition Brick Lane 1978 being developed by Four Corners.
