The proposed focus of the 2020 fund is addressing inequalities in SH, RH and HIV health outcomes experienced by Black, Asian, and other minority ethnic (BAME) communities. The fund is open to charitable, voluntary sector and Community Interest Companies only.This year, PHE will welcome all innovative proposals and particularly those that:Offer innovative ways of addressing poor sexual and/or reproductive health and HIV in those communities most affected, with a particular focus on BAME communitiesDemonstrate how they will deliver their project in the context of covid-19 and potential disruption to contact with service users, colleagues, suppliers and partnersAddress stigma associated with sexual and reproductive health and HIV, promoting self-esteem and improved sexual and reproductive health wellbeingSupport the integration of HIV, STI prevention and/or Reproductive Health improvement into health promotion and service delivery in other health areasSupport increased knowledge, awareness and understanding of STI and HIV prevention strategies, including condoms, testing, and for HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and treatment as prevention, especially in currently underserved populations (for example, specific BAME groups or people in secure settings)Promote accurate impartial information on pregnancy choicesConsider those outside metropolitan areas and how technology can reach those distanced from physical servicesWe are particularly interested in projects that address at least two out of the three domains: reproductive health, sexual health and HIV prevention.
