TO RELIEVE THE HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS SUFFERED BY THOSE WHO ARE EXPERIENCING OR HAVE EXPERIENCED GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:(A) PROVIDING ONLINE SERVICES INCLUDING INFORMATION, GUIDES AND SUPPORT; AND(B) EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ON GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE INCLUDING THROUGH RESEARCH ANDTRAINING.GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE IS DEFINED AS HARMFUL ACTS DIRECTED AT AN INDIVIDUAL BASED ON THEIR GENDER AND INCLUDES DOMESTIC ABUSE (WHICH MEANS PHYSICAL, SEXUAL, EMOTIONAL AND/OR MENTAL ABUSE WITHIN AN INTIMATE OR ‘FAMILY’ RELATIONSHIP), RAPE, HARASSMENT, SEX-TRAFFICKING, TECH-ENABLED HARASSMENT OR ABUSE, AND REPRODUCTIVE VIOLENCE.
