RISING GIRL

Rising Girl provides classroom, online and community-based workshops for girls and young women. Our programme of interactive sessions include topics such as domestic abuse, self-image, consent, online grooming, sexual exploitation, forced marriage and honour violence. We aim to educate, inspire and empower young women to break barriers and reach their potential.

Through actively creating safe spaces for these girls the project aims to empower them by giving them information about sensitive socio-cultural issues (e.g. honour based violence forced marriage domestic violence and mental health issues). The funding will be used to offer tools such as group counselling mentoring low/high intensity social and emotional skills training.
