The funding will be used to expand their ‘Welcome Home Boxes’ service for vulnerable people leaving hospital with limited support or having to self-isolate. This includes older people the homeless and people from disadvantaged backgrounds. It will also provide boxes for young people leaving foster care and people leaving prison with items such as emergency food and essentials to help keep participants safe and improve wellbeing.
