    THE OBJECT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM IS:(A) TO ADVANCE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY DEVELOPING THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AS INDIVIDUALS, TO IMPROVE THE COMMUNITIES IN WHICH THEY LIVE, AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY;(B) TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM BY PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY.
